There is a clear difference between sneakers and running shoes, Sneakers shoes are more fashion-like shoes that you can wear to hang out with your friends, dining, or walk around the city.
Running shoes are more for exercising, and tend to be designed to meet more active needs. Major running shoes can’t be worn to go out to a fancy restaurant, or drinks with friends. If you are wearing running shoes at parties there are no issues in terms of fitness and wellness,
But if you are wearing sneaker shoes while running then you are doing completely wrong and can harm yourself, Your ankle, foot, knee, joints can be harmful due to the wrong shoes.

Difference Between Sneakers and Running Shoes?
